7 Ways NOT To Get Back Together With Ex

July 27th, 2010 Jeanette No comments

Do you know how to get back together with ex? There are a dozen theories about what works. These dont. Unfortunately, these are the most common approaches people try. Each of these ways will ensure that you dont get back together with ex.

1.Send them a hundred text messages a day declaring your undying love. Its okay to have a moderate amount of contact (meaning one or two texts a day), but excessive texts particularly of undying love make you needy. Think back to your single days. When a person who was crushing on you seemed particularly needy, were they attractive to you? Of course not! If you want to get back together with ex, dont appear needy.

2.Write them a long love poem. Right now, theyre not feeling particularly loving toward you. A love poem isnt what they want to hear. In fact, it may embarrass them because it doesnt mirror their feelings. So, try to figure out what they are feeling and respond in kind.

3.Call late at night. During the day you can occupy yourself and you will find things to do to distract yourself from the inevitable hurt. But late at night, when you are alone with your thoughts, it seems almost impossible not to pick up the phone and call your ex. But these late night calls are distressing. They are emotional for both parties. If you want to get back together with ex, dont strain your relationship by taxing their emotions late at night.

4.Send roses to their work. Sometimes you feel like you need a big, dramatic gesture to make sure that they know that you love them. Unfortunately, when other people observe these gestures, they embarrass your ex. So, dont do them.

5.Send them long, accusatory letters. If youre hurting, its natural to want to lash out. But, the problem is that when you send a letter, you can never take it back. If you want to get back together with ex, dont exasperate the problems in your relationship by sending something that you can never take back.

6.Push to do a mutual exchange of property. You may want your college sweatshirt back, but dont ask them to exchange it. Somehow doing a mutual exchange of goods puts a finality on a relationship.

7.Move on too soon. Your ex may simply be wanting some space, even if they say they never want to see you again. Until youre really ready to say goodbye to your ex, put a hold on the dating scene. Once either of you gets really involved with another person, chances are you wont get back together again.

So, there are seven ways not to get back together with ex.

Is There A Secret To Relationships

July 11th, 2010 Jeanette No comments

If there were a magic secret to relationships, someone would have already bottled it and made millions of dollars. But there are several ways to make your relationship strong and give it the best chance of lasting a lifetime. Most of them are common sense and some are just reminders of when the relationship was new. None of them is really a secret.

Love. Its not enough to love your partner, but you have to show them that you love them often. You should never be in a relationship if you dont feel genuine love for someone, and feel comfortable expressing it.

Respect. If you dont respect the person youre with, theres little hope for the relationship. If you laugh at your partner, feel he or she is often a joke, dumb or worthy of some kind of scorn, then whats the point?

Kindness. Treat your partner with kindness always. A secret to relationships is to be as courteous when youre alone and not feeling thrilled at that moment as you would with a stranger on the street.

Thoughtfulness. Put your partners needs and desires at the top of your list. Little gestures are often some of the most powerful.

Honesty. Lies can ruin a relationship quickly, even if theyre lies about nothing important. Dont do anything deceptive and youll never have to lie in the first place.

All of those are important to a relationship and may be called the secret to relationships. But you really need all of them for a good relationship, and theyre things everyone already knows. The hard part can be figuring out how to express some of them.

Honest is pretty easy to show. Simply be open and honest during conversations. Dont be afraid to let your partner see your true self, especially when you feel scared, sad, lonely or vulnerable.

Showing respect and showing kindness can go hand in hand. By treating your partner with respect, you show that you support them. Youll back them up in their ideas and actions because you respect and believe in them.

Even when you dont necessarily feel theyre doing the right thing, you can respect their decision and be kind in your words about it. Disagreeing pleasantly is a so-called secret to relationships.

Thoughtfulness and love can be expressed hand in hand, too. Telling your partner that you love him is one way to express love. But maybe he feels more loved when you reach out and rub his shoulders for a minute as you pass. Or you balance the checkbook so he doesnt have to do it.

People perceive love differently. If you can find what your partner perceives as the most loving thing and do that, youre expressing your love perfectly for that person. And youre being thoughtful, too. Youre thinking of that person and trying to make them happy.

If you combine these things and apply them, then youve found the secret to relationships that can make your partnership a happy one.

Effective Tips On How To Save My Marriage

June 7th, 2010 Jeanette No comments

If your relationship between the two of you to the point of questioning how long you will be together, you may be asking how to save my marriage. Remember that a marriage is a union of two people, so finding solutions to your marriage problems together is essential. These problems cannot be solved by just one of you.

Here are some tips that can help bring you together and increase the chances of your marriage lasting:

- No marriage is perfect. Unlike fairy tales, typical marriages have their flaws just like each of us do. Do not expect perfection from each other. Accept that there will be lumps and bumps along the way.

- Marriage requires work. For your relationship to work, both of you need to realize that it takes work to make a marriage strong. The more work that you put into your marriage can result in an honest and happy relationship. If you do not take this seriously, it can be detrimental. The areas that typically need the most work involve trust and respect in one another . Without these things, your relationship will fall apart.

- Communicate and listen effectively. Create an environment where you can talk to each other without getting upset. Speak calmly and clearly about how you feel and allow your partner to do the same. Make sure to listen to what they have to say, regardless of what they say. Discuss how each of you feel and find common ground where both of you feel that you can find solutions for issues you are facing. The more open and honest you are with each other, the better.

- Do not dwell on past problems. Do not let past mistakes or misunderstandings determine the future of your marriage. While your past problems may be quite serious, dwelling on them will not help your marriage. Focus on the here and now and take each day as it comes.

- Be more giving to one another. Be considerate of each others needs and feelings. You can do caring gestures to simply show that you are thinking of them. If you are unsure as to what you should do for your spouse, ask them what you can do to make them happy. Doing something that will make them feel loved and special can go a long way towards strengthening your relationship. Sometimes doing the simplest things can mean the most to them.

If you have tried all of the above and still are asking how to save my marriage, a professional marriage counselor may be your best option. The decision to go to a counselor must be made by both of you as it will not work if you both do not participate fully.

If you are both truly committed to making changes to save your marriage, a counselor can offer unbiased advice to help you. By getting advice from counselor, it may help you see your problems in a different light and help you find solutions.

Look For Warning Signs of a Break-up

May 27th, 2010 Jeanette No comments

Dont Be Blindsided. Look for warning signs of a break-up.

As much as you may want this relationship to work, you might be seeing some warning signs of a break-up looming in the shadows. You might be able to save it and at the worst you might just be prepared for it if you start looking for the signs and know what to look for. There are many things that may be indicating that a break up is right around the corner.

One thing that you might find yourself doing is walking on eggshells. If there has been any change or added tension in the air and you feel like you have to tread carefully with every word you say or action you take, then things might be getting bad. It may even be that they are starting to get easily angered and will blow up with the slightest provocation. Be sure that you don’t stick around if it at all turns violent.

If you seem to notice an increase in the amount of criticisms coming your way that may also be a sign. Where there used to be nothing but praise, now there is nothing but critical remarks. It could be that you are doing everything wrong, but more likely it is that they are now looking at you through a set of lenses that sees you in a negative light for some reason. They begin to see you in a negative light. It might be they are looking for reasons to justify their desire to leave. Whatever you do, don’t let this affect your self-esteem. It isn’t you, it’s them and there is probably nothing that you can do to change their perception.

Sometimes you will notice a difference in the way affection is shown to you. It could be anything from hugs with a pat on the back or a less attention paid to kissing. You will notice that the little love gestures that were so prevalent earlier are no longer there. There is less hand holding, less winks from across the room, and more space in between the two of you on the couch. Every relationship will go through phases where there is a little less affection shown, but when it is combined with other warning signs you might have trouble.

If your lover has a new group of friends that they are spending time around, it could mean trouble for your relationship. It could mean that they are now looking for some big changes in their life. You might be the next one so you will need to keep an eye on this. Sometimes it could be something resembling a mid life crisis and in many instances it could be that this new group of friends is having a negative influence on your partner and encouraging them to leave. Your love might get the feeling that you are holding them back. Again, don’t take this personally as it has more to do with a phase that they are going through. It will affect you personally, but it isn’t your fault.

Breaking up is not a fun thing, but it is a part of life for most people. Don’t let yourself be blindsided by a break up. Keep an eye out for warning signs of a break up and you might be able to stop it from happening. At the very least you will be more prepared for it.

Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back In 5 Simple Steps – Healthy Relationship Advice

May 2nd, 2010 Jeanette No comments

So how can you get your ex-girlfriend back in 5 simple steps? Healthy relationship advice is often difficult to find. There is a lot of rubbish printed about how you should ignore her or worse go out with one of her friends. These techniques will not result in your former lover running into your arms. You are more likely to be ignored.

So what can you do to get back on your ex’s good side? Firstly you need to know why the relationship split up? Did you do something wrong? If so, apologise. Even if this doesn’t result in a declaration of love, you still need to do it. You need to show this lady that you respect her and can admit when you are wrong. Apologies are old fashioned but they work.

Once that is out of the way, you need to start to woo her again. Show her what she is missing. Find ways to remind her of the times you enjoyed together. Perhaps you could find some old photographs and get them printed up and send her a copy. Perhaps you could find an album of her favourite songs and mail it to her.

Little gestures that prove you are serious in finding out how you can get your ex girlfriend back will work wonders. You could always try asking her directly what she wants. What would make her take you back? Sometimes the only way you can work things out is to be totally honest with each other. You need to face whatever problems you had as sweeping them under the carpet will not work.

It won’t always be easy to get your ex girlfriend back in 5 simple steps. Healthy relationship advice will tell you to have some patience and to take things slowly. You may have hurt this lady a lot and if so it will take her some time to trust you. But with persistence and old fashioned romance you should have a fighting chance. After all, at one point she obviously loved you and you now need to restore those feelings.

Find ways to tell her what you think of her. You could send her flowers or chocolates. Perhaps you could persuade her to come out on a couple of dates with you. Show her a very good time but, what ever you do, don’t put any pressure on her to take you back.

Enjoy your time with your ex-girlfriend. Make sure the both of you have fun and she can’t help but remember the good times you two had. You need to prove that you are serious and committed to a future with this woman. If you are just trying to get her back to prove a point, shame on you and the horse you rode in on.

Once you follow these tips, you won’t be asking how to get your ex-girlfriend back in 5 simple steps. Healthy relationship advice will always help sort out problems of the heart.
