How to Make a Woman Fall in Love with You

March 10th, 2010 Jeanette No comments

We all want to be adored. Wouldn’t it be great to have a gorgeous girl gazing at you lovingly, listening to you with rapt attention, and leaning in for yet another kiss?

Well, you can have.

Getting a woman to fall for you is not as hard as it may seem. It doesn’t require expensive gifts, extravagant gestures or rock hard abs. In fact, all it requires is a little charm and a few good manners – and I’m about to explain exactly how to develop them.

Self-conscious men have a habit of putting women on pedestals. To some extent, this can work in your favor; there’s no better way of getting a girl to like you than showing that you like her. But if you’ve managed to convince yourself that every hot chick you see is too pretty to pay any attention to you, it’s time to do some re-thinking.

Start by reminding yourself that most single girls are looking for love. This means that no matter how you see yourself, she sees you as an available male – and she is not going to reject you unless you give her good reason to.

Remember also that girls are just as nervous as guys are. She might seem like a goddess to you, but when a girl looks in the mirror all she sees are her flaws. She is just as anxious about her appearance and just as nervous about making conversation as any man could be.

Girls want to impress you. They want you to like them. They want to feel sexy. All you need to know is a few simple tricks for getting and keeping their attention.

Start by making sure you look the part. Keep yourself clean and well groomed. Wear smart clothes which suit you. Stand up straight with your shoulders back and your head held high. Take pride in your appearance and develop a confident stance and you will instantly seem more attractive.

Don’t be afraid to approach women. Making eye contact and smiling over at her are a good start but, as very few women are prepared to make the first move, if you want something to happen you’re going to have to go over and introduce yourself. It may seem daunting at first, but remember that chicks find attention flattering – offer her a drink and she will take the time to respond.

When you get talking, listen to what she’s saying and ask leading questions. Girls are so used to men speaking to their chest that if you can maintain eye contact and show an interest in her opinions she will be thrilled to have met you.

When you talk about yourself, be confident without bragging. Don’t boast about your achievements and never bemoan your bad luck. Instead, talk passionately about your hobbies and interests or switch the topic of conversation back to her by paying her genuine compliments.

Do bear in mind that every man she speaks to will be telling her she’s hot. Make your compliments stand out by tailoring them to fit. Admire her quirky outfit, her tinkling laugh or her incredible stories – figure out what’s unique about her, then tell her why it’s great.

Take the time to get to know her properly. If you come on strong early on you may appear to be either needy or sleazy, so don’t put her under sexual pressure. By letting her control the pace you will make her feel respected, appreciated and more able to trust you. And the more she trusts you, the more into you that girl is going to be.

How to Make Christian Friends

March 9th, 2010 Jeanette No comments

Once you become a Christian, it is important to fellowship with other believers that will help you grow in your faith and support your spiritual journey. This may be easier said than done if you had been hanging out with a crowd of folks that don’t understand your new conversion. And what if you’re single? You will probably want to find other Christian singles to date to ensure that you spend time with people who share your faith and values. You can meet other Christians in your church or you can go online to meet folks the way the rest of the world does today. There are plenty of great resources that provide a vehicle for Christians to get together to chat, share interests and develop friendships.

Christian Dating Sites

If you are a Christian single looking to meet others for a dating relationship, there are many Christian dating sites to help you find Mr. or Miss Right. There are websites across the globe specifically dedicated to Christians so you can find a person of your faith no matter where you live. If you decide to join a Christian dating website, it is a good idea to read reviews first to find the hot spots that most singles are flocking to. This is especially true in light of the fact that many of these sites charge a fee to join, and you want to get the biggest bang for your networking buck. Look for websites that include chat rooms and message boards that allow you a convenient way to communicate with other Christian singles.

MySpace Websites

To keep up with the networking trends in the secular world, Christian social sites like MySpace are cropping up around cyberspace. You can also find Christian blogs that allow you to go online and chat with others that share your ideas about faith, values and world views. Create your own MySpace profile as a way to communicate with your current friends and form new relationships. Just keep in mind that the information that goes out on these websites is available for the whole world to see. With this in mind, you might want to look into putting some blocks on your site and hiding key information that you don’t want the global community to know.

Friendly Websites

Another new trend in learning how to make Christian friends online is a friendly website that is comparable to a dating service, but with friendship instead of romance in mind. These social networks are designed to help you meet people from all walks of life that you share common interests with. The sites are becoming popular in the Christian and the secular community, so it should be easy to find one that will meet your needs.

When you are a Christian, having friends who share your faith and values is an important component of your spiritual walk. By checking out some of these networking sites devoted to Christians, you can find friends and maybe even a new romantic interest to share your love of God.

Are You Willing To Take A Chance On Love?

March 9th, 2010 Jeanette No comments

I love Las Vegas. I don’t even gamble, but I love the energy that the town has and find it hard to match. Las Vegas was built on chance. From it’s earliest days when settlers took the chance on it being a desert oasis of sorts to today’s emphasis on it being an oasis from the norm, Las Vegas has always taken the gamble on being there for travelers.

It makes me reflect on my life. Life is all about chance. Sometimes you roll the dice on something and take a take a chance. Sometimes you fail at something and you ask for a second chance. Anyway I look at it,I believe chance is a good thing.

Often times, friends and family won’t see chance as such a positive thing. They’ll tell you you’re crazy for dating this guy or not dating that guy. They’ll even go as far to say that he’s out of your league. Maybe people will tell you that your dreams of being an artist is silly. They tell you to get a real job. Or maybe they think your idea for a business is too risky. They’ll say terrible things like you don’t want to fail do you? Or they’ll say that you weren’t meant to think that big.

Those that would question your ideas without offering positive feedback or providing solutions are people that you need to spend less time with. As far as I’m concerned anybody can tell you what not to do. It’s easy to be negative. It’s easy to be a jerk. It’s easy to say no. It takes no special skill to accomplish nothing.

Listening to negative people will get you nowhere. Self made millionaire and motivational speaker Jim Rohn says that your life is a direct reflection of the 5 people you hang out with most. So why hang out with jerks? I think it’s cool that if your life sucks you may just have to change your friends. Take a chance and change your friends, change your life

It’s a whole other skill to take a chance and manage the inherit risk in a new venture or relationship. It’s hard work. You might have to go to school, read a book or seek out those that have already accomplished what you want to do. It’s easy to see why being negative is easy: it takes little work and no initiative.

I’m reminded of this because a neighbor and I were talking about a new book called Realityland True Life Adventures at Walt Disney World by David Koenig. Realityland is about Walt Disney’s crazy idea to build a theme park based on a rodent located in the middle of a Florida swamp called Walt Disney World. The number of people that thought he was stupid or simply out of his mind to do this was too high to count. The book goes further to document all those that threw monkey wrenches into the completion of WDW: contractors, unions, construction workers. In 1965 they spent 5 million dollars on the over 20,000 acres of land and another 5 million on turning the uninhabitable swamp into the future site of the happiest place on earth.

Walt Disney may have taught us all how to have fun but I think his much greater contribution is showing us all how to take a chance.

Go ahead now and take a chance on love!

Dating Violence Amongst Teen Should Not Be Overlooked

March 9th, 2010 Jeanette No comments

Forty percent of teenage girls, ages 14 to 17, say they know someone their age who has been hit or beaten by a boyfriend. In one study, 30 to 50 percent of female high school students reported having already experienced teen dating violence, which most often took place in the home of one of the partners.

In 1995, 7 percent of all murder victims were young women who were killed by their boyfriends. One in five or 20 percent of dating couples report some type of violence in their relationship.

Once you’ve “been through so much,” where do you draw the line on dating violence and say “enough is enough?” Over time, as patterns emerge, it’s natural for one to lose sight of reality. It seems like “everyone fights” or is involved in some drama, yet that doesn’t make it ok.

You do not ever have to be someone’s physical or emotional punching bag. There are so many other possible partners out there, don’t think you have to settle, especially so young.

If your partner shoves, slaps, hits or punches you, then get out! If you fear bringing up certain topics, feel you’re walking on egg shells or that you’re a prisoner in your own home and suspect he’s listening in on your phone calls, then escape while you still can! If he’s accusing you of cheating, giving you “the look,” calling you disparaging names or shouting at you, then remember that you don’t have to put up with his abuse.

There are many early warning signs of dating violence that should not be overlooked. Your partner may become abusive if he shows extreme jealousy and cites an ex-girlfriend as his rationale for reacting that way. Many abusive relationships happen in a whirlwind, with immediate attraction, obsession and physical involvement.

Often, the aggressor will exhibit unpredictable mood swings, explosive anger, hypersensitivity, anxiety or depression. Many violent individuals are substance abusers who have a past history of family violence and are cruel to animals.

If your partner issues threats, uses “playful” force during sex, blames others for his thoughts or feelings, calls you names, criticizes your every move, expects you to “follow orders,” appears extremely closed-minded, lays guilt-trips on you, calls you incessantly, breaks things, slams doors and objectifies women, even jokingly, then you need to call it quits.

In case you haven’t figured it out by now, dating violence perpetrators tell lies aimed at manipulating and controlling their partner. In most cases, the perpetrators even lie to themselves. Learning to recognize their tactics and techniques for controlling you can help you deal with the situation and move on.

For example, if he claims that you “just don’t understand him,” or argues that you “just push his buttons,” then these are statements that blame, in hopes that you’ll stay with him out of guilt. If he tells you he “had a bad childhood,” “just gets angry when he drinks or uses drugs,” “has anger management problems” or “has a lot of stress right now,” then these are excuses, evidence of self-denial and attempts to trick you into feeling sympathetic, even though his behaviors are completely controllable. He may try to say that yelling or smashing things is “his release,” but these abusive behaviors just aren’t normal.
